申命紀	Deuteronomy
¹那時上主對我說：『你再鑿兩塊石版，與先前的一樣，然後上山到我跟前來；還要做一個木櫃。	¹At that time the Lord said to me: Hew thee two tables of stone like the former, and come up to me into the mount: and thou shalt make an ark of wood,
²我要把你先前摔碎的那兩塊版上的話，寫在這兩塊版上。你要將這兩塊石版放在櫃裏。』	²And I will write on the tables the words that were in them, which thou brokest before, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
³我於是做了一個皂莢木櫃，鑿了兩塊與先前一樣的石版，手裏拿着這兩塊石版上山去了。	³And I made an ark of setim wood And when I had hewn two tables of stone like the former, I went up into the mount, having them in my hands.
⁴上主將先前所寫的，即在集會之日，在山上由火中對你們所說的那十句話，寫在這兩塊版上，交給了我。	⁴And he wrote in the tables, according as he had written before, the ten words, which the Lord spoke to you in the mount from the midst of the fire, when the people were assembled: and he gave them to me.
⁵我遂轉身下山，照上主吩咐我的，將版放在我做的櫃內，存在那裏。	⁵And returning from the mount, I came down, and put the tables into the ark, that I had made, and they are there till this present, as the Lord commanded me.
⁶以色列子民由貝洛特貝乃雅干起程，到了摩色辣，亞郎在那裏死了，也埋在那裏；他的兒子厄肋阿匝爾繼他做了大司祭。	⁶And the children of Israel removed their camp from Beroth of the children of Jacan into Mosera, where Aaron died and was buried, and Eleazar his son succeeded him in the priestly office.
⁷又從那裏起程，到了古德哥達，又從古德哥達到了多溪水之地約特巴達。	⁷From thence they came to Gadgad, from which place they departed, and camped in Jetebatha, in a land of waters and torrents.
⁸那時，上主選拔了肋未支派，叫他們抬上主的約櫃，侍立在上主面前事奉他，並奉他的名祝福，直到今日。	⁸At that time he separated the tribe of Levi, to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to stand before him in the ministry, and to bless in his name until this present day.
⁹為此，肋未人同自己的兄弟沒有分得產業，因為照上主你的天主對他們所說的：上主自己是他們的產業。	⁹Wherefore Levi hath no part nor possession with his brethren: because the Lord himself is his possession, as the Lord thy God promised him.
¹⁰我如先前一樣，在山上逗留了四十天四十夜；上主這一次又俯聽了我，放棄了消滅你的意思。	¹⁰And I stood in the mount, as before, forty days and nights: and the Lord heard me this time also, and would not destroy thee.
¹¹上主且對我說：『起來，在人民前面領路，叫他們去佔領我對他們祖先誓許要賜給他們的地方。』	¹¹And he said to me: Go, and walk before the people, that they may enter, and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers that I would give them.
¹²以色列！現今上主你的天主向你要求什麼？是要求你敬畏上主你的天主，履行他的一切道路，愛他，全心全靈事奉上主你的天主，	¹²And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but that thou fear the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways, and love him, and serve the Lord thy God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul:
¹³遵守我今天吩咐你的天主的誡命和法令，好使你能獲得幸福。	¹³And keep the commandments of the Lord, and his ceremonies, which I command thee this day, that it may be well with thee?
¹⁴看天與天上的天，地和地上的一切，都屬於上主你的天主；	¹⁴Behold heaven is the Lord's thy God, and the heaven of heaven, the earth and all things that are therein.
¹⁵但上主只喜歡了你的祖先，鍾愛他們，由萬民中揀選了他們的後裔，就是你們，正如你們今日所見的一樣。	¹⁵And yet the Lord hath been closely joined to thy fathers, and loved them and chose their seed after them, that is to say, you, out of all nations, as this day it is proved.
¹⁶為此，你們要心受割損，不要再執拗，	¹⁶Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and stiffen your neck no more.
¹⁷因為上主你們的天主是萬神之神，萬主之主，偉大、有力、可畏的天主，是不顧情面，不受賄賂，	¹⁷Because the Lord your God he is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords, a great God and mighty and terrible, who accepteth no person nor taketh bribes.
¹⁸為孤兒、寡婦主持正義，友愛外方人，供給他們食糧和衣服的天主。	¹⁸He doth judgment to the fatherless and the widow, loveth the stranger, and giveth him food and raiment.
¹⁹為此，你們也應友愛外方人，因為你們在埃及也曾做過外方人。	¹⁹And do you therefore love strangers, because you also were strangers in the land of Egypt.
²⁰你應敬畏上主你的天主，事奉依賴他，奉他的名起誓。	²⁰Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him only: to him thou shalt adhere, and shalt swear by his name.
²¹他是你的光榮，是你的天主，是他為你做了你親眼所見的奇異可畏的事。	²¹He is thy praise, and thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thy eyes have seen.
²²你的祖先下到埃及時，總共不過七十人，現在上主你的天主卻使你多得有如天上的繁星。	²²In seventy souls thy fathers went down into Egypt: and behold now the Lord thy God hath multiplied thee as the stars of heaven.
