| 6蝛?鹱鈭个çå䂿磰牧嚗?éå毁暺åå肽单 閧´ç见歇å銁雿删?銝哨¼?穃穃停閰脱¤策雿删»漤¼麄 | 6The princes of Soccoth answered: Peradventure the palms of the hands of Zebee and Salmana are in thy hand, and therefore thou demandest that we should give bread to thy army. |
| 7å抅驱瑞´ 隤迎¼?末蝵瘀¼嗾æ¸蜓æå毁暺åå肽单 閧´鈭文銁æ烐衤叶嚗?穃¿¦鍂è璇嘥?£㗛æ涂雿惩澈擃 | 7And he said to them: When the Lord therefore shall have delivered Zebee and Salmana into my hands, I will thresh your flesh with the thorns and briers of the desert. |
| 8隞亘¾?眏é鋆∩¸绦嚗??鈭å畺憟渲³嚗?¹笔睲»硋牧鈭?见ç店嚗å畺憟渲³鈭筝䂿»碶¹笔蝛?鹱鈭箔¸璅? | 8And going up from thence, he came to Phanuel: and he spoke the like things to the men of that place. And they also answered him, as the men of Soccoth had answered. |
| 9隞碶¹笔°å畺憟渲³鈭卑牧嚗?訜æ穃像摰匧硺¾¼?穃¿¯é坔涟蝣匧岁ã | 9He said therefore to them also: When I shall return a conqueror in peace, I will destroy this tower. |
| 10éæå毁暺åå肽单 閧´甇?銁å㨃ç?蝘?嚗?»硋»漤羓´劐¸è鈭荦嚗?蹱糓åéææ䲮摮鼗°烐å?銝讠»漤¼?删撌脱匧º?æç◤æº | 10But Zebee and Salmana were resting with all their army. For fifteen thousand men were left of all the troops of the eastern people, and one hundred and twenty thousand warriors that drew the sword, were slain. |
| 11å抅驱瑞´ 驱隢晓毁暺å蝝仪瘜Wæé嚗? ½誩董琏纸荦ç楝銝绦嚗?訜æ訽鈭卑隞亦摰匧ç辷¼?必溻滨¼ | 11And Gedeon went up by the way of them that dwelt in tents, on the east of Nobe and Jegbaa, and smote the camp of the enemies, who were secure, and suspected no hurt. |
| 12å毁暺åå肽单 閧´è氜è附?¼å抅驱瑞´ å銁驱?餈质¶¼?劐½譍ºåå蝐喳吨璆ç见å毁暺åå肽单 閧´嚗?蒂雿踹頠滩¦²鉝 | 12And Zebee and Salmana fled, and Gedeon pursued and took them, all their host being put in confusion. |
| 13蝝燵憯«ç 鍦å抅驱瑞´ 嚗?¾墧?å聦瘝¿韏怠埝鱻æ辺å硺¾¼ | 13And returning from the battle before the sun rising, |
| 14æ劐½譍º蝛?鹱ç°穃侨鈭绰¼?䰻å譍»硔坔°穃侨鈭筝停蝯虫»硋神銝蝛?鹱ç¦㚚 睃?è滚槟¼?銝¸荦ã | 14He took a boy of the men of Soccoth: and he asked him the names of the princes and ancients of Soccoth, and he described unto him seventy-seven men. |
| 15å抅驱瑞´ é¾蝛?鹱鈭粹鋆∪绦隤迎¼?页¼蹱糓å毁暺åå肽单 閧´嚗?½惩鈭»硋烐㦛霅雠¬烐牧嚗éå毁暺åå肽单 閧´ç见歇å銁雿䭾?銝哨¼?穃穃停閰脱¤策雿删魿å衣荦å¼麄 | 15And he came to Soccoth and said to them: Behold Zebee and Salmana, concerning whom you upbraided me, saying: Peradventure the hands of Zebee and Salmana, are in thy hands, and therefore thou demandest that we should give bread to the men that are weary and faint. |
| 16隞䲰æ糓æ劐½誯åè¼?鍂æ馆ㄐç璇嘥?£䀹蝵唬º蝛?鹱撅°㻫 | 16So he took the ancients of the city and thorns and briers of the desert, and tore them with the same, and cut in pieces the men of Soccoth. |
| 17隞亘¾??å畺憟渲³ç¢匧岁æ¯嚗?捏æ?鈭ç±°㻫 | 17And he demolished the tower of Phanuel, and slew the men of the city. |
| 18ç驱?岷åå毁暺åå肽单 閧´隤迎¼?½惩穃銁憭批?撅曹¸捏æ?ç鈭荦æ糓æ举见ç荦å嚗麄滢»硋磰牧嚗?»硋穃譍½惩睲¸璅?¼?见钅å誩讠 鍦僐 | 18And he said to Zebee and Salmana: What manner of men were they whom you slew in Thabor? They answered: They were like thee, and one of them as the son of a king. |
| 19å抅驱瑞´ 隤迎¼?»硋烐糓æ ¼¼?糓æ烐¯滩扛ç 鍦琜¼纸¸蜓瘗佼銁嚗¦靝½惩睲¿萘嗘º»硋睲¸齿香嚗?睲¹笔停銝齿捏雿惩㻫 | 19He answered them: They were my brethren, the sons of my mother. As the Lord liveth, if you had saved them, I would not kill you. |
| 20隞㚚°滩撌梁摮è嗥鹱ç?隤迎¼?丝靘¼?捏甇台»硋¼滢½糓é坔酋软亘拿æ¼?¸滚å靘¼?删挢渡´é°讹 | 20And he said to Jether his eldest son: Arise, and slay them. But he drew not his sword: for he was afraid, being but yet a boy. |
| 21å䭾迨嚗å毁暺åå肽单 閧´隤迎¼?½㰘扛è韏瑚¾捏甇饼穃菱嚗删鈭箸举见嚗?»偦譍¹举见ãå抅驱瑞´ 撠梯丝靘捏鈭å毁暺åå肽单 閧´嚗?嚉å绦隞硋煾妤擏嗪瓲銝羓?嗵ã | 21And Zebee and Salmana said: Do thou rise, and run upon us: because the strength of a man is according to his age: Gedeon rose up and slew Zebee and Salmana: and he took the ornaments and bosses, with which the necks of the camels of kings are wont to be adorned. |
| 22鈭见¾?¼隞亥å鈭箔噶撠å抅驱瑞´ 隤迎¼?½䭾ç驱蝐喳吨璆æ衤叶æ墙æ睲º穃¼?«衤½惩?½删重雿穃页¼ | 22And all the men of Israel said to Gedeon: Rule thou over us and thy son, and thy son's son: because thou hast delivered us from the hand of Madian. |
| 23å抅驱瑞´ å䂿»硋牧嚗?睲¸滢½靝½惩页¼?重銋煺¸滢½靝½惩页¼?æ劐¸蜓æ糓雿惩卝 | 23And he said to them: I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you, but the Lord shall rule over you. |
| 24å抅驱瑞´ å?睲»硋牧嚗?穃蘨å睲½惩¦±¸隞嗡º页¼期«见°¯譍荦æ惩左ç蝯行㻫滚煺¾靘嘥¸麐è³鈭粹æ厂ã | 24And he said to them: I desire one request of you: Give me the earlets of your spoils. For the Ismaelites were accustomed to wear golden earlets. |
| 25隞硋磰牧嚗?穃烐¡条策雿齿䲰æ糓è㚚衤¸隞嗅¤﹝嚗?¯譍荦ææ惩左çæ搻å銁銝ã | 25They answered: We will give them most willingly. And spreading a mantle on the ground, they cast upon it the earlets of the spoils. |
| 26隞阆åæ劐¸å¸参 å?è哟 ; 甇文¤硋°㗇?嗵嚗?喟å蝐喳吨璆ç蝛辐换蝝﹝嚗?»硋煾妤擏嗪瓲銝羓 ? | 26And the weight of the earlets that he requested, was a thousand seven hundred sicles of gold, besides the ornaments, and jewels, and purple raiment which the kings of Madian were went to use, and besides the golden chains that were about the camels' necks. |

| 28蝐喳吨璆å銁隞亥å摮鼗°穃滚±?㵪¼?齿²埝㗇䠋韏珲靘å抅驱瑞´ å銁銝¼?¢挢喳®劐º侨ã | 28But Madian was humbled before the children of Israel, neither could they any more lift up their beads: but the land rested for forty years, while Gedeon presided. |
| 29蝝燵憯«ç 鍦è园陌撌渲³å䞶绦嚗?®匧±銁è撌勖振銝准 | 29So Jerobaal the son of Joas went, and dwelt in his own house. |
| 30å抅驱瑞´ æ劐¸见 鍦琜¼?æ糓隞扛ç毺¼?删隞匧¾?¤氖摮僐 | 30And he had seventy sons, who came out of his thigh, for he had many wives. |
| 31隞硋銁è齿觅ç污銋毺策隞煺º¸å见 鍦琜¼?策隞丝å滚㙈é燵敶潮»䁅见耻ã | 31And his concubine, that he had in Sichem, bore him a son, whose name was Abimelech. |
| 32蝝燵憯«ç 鍦å抅驱瑞´ 憯赐µ迤撖g¼?见銁é燵敶浇?çæ硋¼麾嚗?»?阆ª蝝燵憯«ç4憓刊ㄐã | 32And Gedeon the son of Joas died in a good old age, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father in Ephra of the family of Ezri. |
| 33å抅驱瑞´ 甇饺¾?¼隞亥å摮鼗°穃?绦頝笔¾撌渲³隢貊¥噼¡?瘛恬¼?«撌渲唾²嗪»鹱ç訜å纸»硋予銝飒 | 33But after Gedeon was dead, the children of Israel turned again, and committed fornication with Baalim. And they made a covenant with Baal, that he should be their god: |
| 34隞亥å摮鼗°穃¿䁅¨䀝º¸蜓隞硋予銝鸣¼?㦛驱䞶ææ厩訽鈭箸衤叶æ睲º»硋¼ | 34And they remembered not the Lord their God, who delivered them out of the hands of all their enemies round about: |
| 35銋²埝㗇驱 è园陌撌渲³å朗å抅驱瑞´ ç振嚗?诳å蝑»鴌æ䲰隞亥åçæ | 35Neither did they shew mercy to the house of Jerobaal Gedeon, according to all the good things he had done to Israel. |
