9隞碶¹笔°å畺憟渲€³鈭卑牧嚗€?訜æˆ穃像摰匧›硺¾™¼?ˆ穃¿‹¯€é€坔涟蝣匧岁ã€€9He said therefore to them also: When I shall return a conqueror in peace, I will destroy this tower.

For fifteen thousand men were left of all the troops of the eastern people, and one hundred and twenty thousand warriors that drew the sword, were slain.
11å抅驱瑞´…驱ž隢晓毁暺‘å’Œ蝝仪瘜W“ˆæé嚗? ‘½誩董琏纸荦çš楝銝绦嚗?訜æ訽鈭卑隞亦摰匧çš™€辷¼?必æ“º»滨‡¼Œ11And Gedeon went up by the way of them that dwelt in tents, on the east of Nobe and Jegbaa, and smote the camp of the enemies, who were secure, and suspected no hurt.

14æ劐½譍º†蝛?‹鹱çš°穃侨鈭绰¼?䰻å•譍»硔€€坔°穃侨鈭筝停蝯虫»硋神銝‹蝛?‹鹱çš¦㚚 睃’?è€š滚­槟¼?銝¸荦。14He took a boy of the men of Soccoth: and he asked him the names of the princes and ancients of Soccoth, and he described unto him seventy-seven men.
15å抅驱瑞´…é¾€蝛?‹鹱鈭粹鋆∪绦隤迎¼€?œ页¼€蹱糓å‰毁暺‘å’ŒåŒ肽€单…閧´嚗?½惩€鈭»硋€烐㦛霅雠¬烐ˆ牧嚗道å‰毁暺‘å’ŒåŒ肽€单…閧´çš‰见歇å銁雿䭾Ž?銝哨¼?ˆ穃€穃停閰脱Š¤€策雿删魿å€衣š荦å—¼麄€15And he came to Soccoth and said to them: Behold Zebee and Salmana, concerning whom you upbraided me, saying: Peradventure the hands of Zebee and Salmana, are in thy hands, and therefore thou demandest that we should give bread to the men that are weary and faint.
16隞䲰æ糓æ劐½誯åŸšè€¼?鍂æ›‡馆ㄐçš璇嘥’?£䀹蝵唬º†蝛?‹鹱撅°㻫€‚16So he took the ancients of the city and thorns and briers of the desert, and tore them with the same, and cut in pieces the men of Soccoth.
17隞亘¾??ŠŠå畺憟渲€³çš¢匧岁æ‹¯€嚗?捏æ?鈭Ÿçš±°㻫€‚17And he demolished the tower of Phanuel, and slew the men of the city.
18ç驱?岷問å‰毁暺‘å’ŒåŒ肽€单…閧´隤迎¼€?½惩€穃銁憭批?撅曹¸捏æ?çš鈭荦æ糓æ€举见çš荦å嚗麄€滢»硋€­磰牧嚗€?»硋€穃ƒ譍½惩€睲¸€璅?¼?€见€钅åƒ誩Ž讠š…鍦­僐€€18And he said to Zebee and Salmana: What manner of men were they whom you slew in Thabor? They answered: They were like thee, and one of them as the son of a king.
19å抅驱瑞´…隤迎¼€?»硋€烐糓æˆš…¼¼?糓æˆ烐¯滩扛çš…鍦­琜¼纸¸蜓瘗佼銁嚗¦ž靝½惩€睲¿萘•嗘º»硋€睲¸齿香嚗?ˆ睲¹笔停銝齿捏雿惩€㻫€€19He answered them: They were my brethren, the sons of my mother. As the Lord liveth, if you had saved them, I would not kill you.
20隞㚚°滩撌梁š摮è€嗥鹱ç?隤迎¼€?丝靘¼?捏甇台»硋€¼€滢½糓é€坔酋软亘拿æ€¼?‹¸滚刀靘¼?›删挢渡´€é‚°讹€‚20And he said to Jether his eldest son: Arise, and slay them. But he drew not his sword: for he was afraid, being but yet a boy.
21å›䭾迨嚗Œå‰毁暺‘å’ŒåŒ肽€单…閧´隤迎¼€?½㰘扛è韏瑚¾捏甇饼ˆ穃€菱嚗›删鈭箸€举见嚗?»šŠ偦‡譍¹€举见ã€€å抅驱瑞´…撠梯丝靘捏鈭†å‰毁暺‘å’ŒåŒ肽€单…閧´嚗?嚉å绦隞硋€煾妤擏嗪瓲銝羓šœ?‰嗵。21And Zebee and Salmana said: Do thou rise, and run upon us: because the strength of a man is according to his age: Gedeon rose up and slew Zebee and Salmana: and he took the ornaments and bosses, with which the necks of the camels of kings are wont to be adorned.
22鈭见¾?¼Œ隞亥列鈭箔噶撠å抅驱瑞´…隤迎¼€?½䭾ç驱ž蝐喳吨璆Šæ‰衤叶æ墙æ•睲ºˆ穃€¼?«衤½惩’?½删š­重雿ˆ穃€šŽ页¼€22And all the men of Israel said to Gedeon: Rule thou over us and thy son, and thy son's son: because thou hast delivered us from the hand of Madian.
23å抅驱瑞´…å›䂿­»硋€牧嚗€?ˆ睲¸滢½靝½惩€šŽ页¼?ˆš­重銋煺¸滢½靝½惩€šŽ页¼?æœ劐¸蜓æ糓雿惩€šŽ卝€€23And he said to them: I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you, but the Lord shall rule over you.
24å抅驱瑞´…å?睲»硋€牧嚗€?ˆ穃蘨å睲½惩€¦±¸€隞嗡º页¼期«见°¯譍荦æŽ惩左çš‡蝯行ˆ㻫€€滚Ž煺¾†靘嘥¸麐耳鈭粹æœ厂‡。24And he said to them: I desire one request of you: Give me the earlets of your spoils. For the Ismaelites were accustomed to wear golden earlets.
25隞硋€­磰牧嚗€?ˆ穃€烐ƒ¡条策雿€€齿䲰æ糓èˆ㚚–衤¸€隞嗅¤﹝嚗?¯譍荦æŠ‰€æŽ惩左çš‡æ搻å銁銝。25They answered: We will give them most willingly. And spreading a mantle on the ground, they cast upon it the earlets of the spoils.
26隞‰€阆š‡åæœ劐¸€å¸参 å?è€哟‡ ; 甇文¤硋°œ㗇œ?‰嗵嚗?€喟和蝐喳吨璆ŠçŽ‰€蝛辐š换蝝﹝嚗?»硋€煾妤擏嗪瓲銝羓š ?€‚26And the weight of the earlets that he requested, was a thousand seven hundred sicles of gold, besides the ornaments, and jewels, and purple raiment which the kings of Madian were went to use, and besides the golden chains that were about the camels' necks.
27å抅驱瑞´…ç鍂é€嗘º偦‡穃­鞾€º¸€å€卝€Ž¼堒¾€¼?®厩荫å銁隞城æ•硋¼麾。隞亥列ç䔿鈭粹å?é鋆∟¡?瘛恬¼?›䭾迨é€坔€卝€Ž¼堒¾€譍噶æˆº†å抅驱瑞´…å摰呛—雠š¾雯。27And Gedeon made an ephod thereof, and put it in his city Ephra. And all Israel committed fornication with it, and it became a ruin to Gedeon and to all his house.
28蝐喳吨璆Šå銁隞亥列摮鼗°穃‰滚±?œ㵪¼?†齿²埝œ㗇䠋韏珲靘€‚å抅驱瑞´…å銁銝™¼?¢挢喳®劐º›侨。28But Madian was humbled before the children of Israel, neither could they any more lift up their beads: but the land rested for forty years, while Gedeon presided.

32蝝燵憯«çš…鍦­å抅驱瑞´…憯赐µ迤撖g¼?Ÿ见銁é燵敶浇Ž‰?的æ•硋¼麾嚗?»?阆ª蝝燵憯«çš4憓刊ㄐ。32And Gedeon the son of Joas died in a good old age, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father in Ephra of the family of Ezri.
33å抅驱瑞´…甇饺¾?¼Œ隞亥列摮鼗°穃?绦頝笔¾ž撌渲€³隢貊¥噼¡?瘛恬¼?«‹撌渲€唾²嗪»鹱ç訜å纸»硋€š予銝飒€‚33But after Gedeon was dead, the children of Israel turned again, and committed fornication with Baalim. And they made a covenant with Baal, that he should be their god:

35銋²埝œ㗇驱…è€园陌撌渲€³å朗å抅驱瑞´…çš振嚗?诳å蝑»鴌æ䲰隞亥列çšæƒ€‚35Neither did they shew mercy to the house of Jerobaal Gedeon, according to all the good things he had done to Israel.
