Now the camp of Madian was in the valley on the north side of the high hill.
2銝蜓撠å抅驱瑞´…隤迎¼€?·罚辶雿删š°䔿憭芸¤¼?ˆ睲¸滩把蝐喳吨璆Š鈭文銁隞硋€烐‰衤叶嚗?…滚¾—隞亥列撠齿ˆ隤牧嚗糓è撌梁šåŠ•睲º撌唏€‚2And the Lord said to Gedeon: The people that are with thee are many, and Madian shall not be delivered into their hands: lest Israel should glory against me, and say: I was delivered by my own strength.
3çå銁雿㰘¦烐°䔿摰?‘牧嚗摰单€闹鼗çš虾隞亘›䞶绦嚗?€仿€罚é–钅€体ㄐã€€齿䲰æ糓瘗䔿銝剜œ劐º?鈭?›䞶绦嚗?蘨å?銝衤¸€è鈭箝€‚3Speak to the people, and proclaim in the hearing of all, I Whosoever is fearful and timorous, let him return. So two and twenty thousand men went away from mount Galaad and returned home, and only ten thousand remained.
4銝蜓å?°å抅驱瑞´…隤迎¼€?°䔿é‚糓憭芸¤¼偦 䀝»硋€睲¸见?瘗涌‚绦嚗?ˆ¦銁é鋆∠雿䭾炎撽»硋€㻫€æˆ穃‘迄雿㰘牧嚗€嗘荦å虾å?½惩绦嚗?»硋停èˆ½惩?绦嚗æˆ穃‘迄雿㰘牧嚗€嗘荦銝滚虾å?½惩绦嚗?»硋停銝滚虾å绦ã€€4And the Lord said to Gedeon: The people are still too many, bring them to the waters, and there I will try them: and of whom I shall say to thee, This shall go with thee, let him go: whom I shall forbid to go, let him return.
5隞硋停撘闹°䔿銝见?瘗涌‚¼¸蜓向å抅驱瑞´…隤迎¼€?ç鍂èˆ?èˆ娍偌åƒ雠‹ˆ娍偌隡潜š¼?°»硋€穃®厩荫å銁銝€è™¼?见嚗?撅?†肽楫銝钅ㄡ瘗渡š¼?°»硋€穃®厩荫å銁銝€è™€€5And when the people were come down to the waters, the Lord said to Gedeon: They that shall lap the water with their tongues, as dogs are wont to lap, thou shalt set apart by themselves: but they that shall drink bowing down their knees, shall be on the other side.
6ç鍂æ‰擀å?å狍é‚ˆ娍偌çšæœ劐¸厩参鈭绰¼擗䀹°䔿éæ糓撅?†肽楫銝见–脲偌。6And the number of them that had lapped water, casting it with the hand to their mouth, was three hundred men: and all the rest of the multitude had drunk kneeling.
7銝蜓撠å抅驱瑞´…隤迎¼€?ˆ¦鍂é€嗘¸厩参èˆ娍偌çš荦æ墙æ•睲½惩€¼?ŠŠ蝐喳吨璆Š鈭斗䲰雿䭾‰衤叶ã€®枏擗条š°䔿å›墧åå绦ã€€7And the Lord said to Gedeon: By the three hundred men, that lapped water, I will save you, and deliver Madian into thy hand: but let all the rest of the people return to their place.
8å抅驱瑞´…靘辐•嗘¸°䔿çš½­’?™蠘§¼?‰梶䔄ç䔿隞亥列鈭筝›噼撌梁š董挢¼?蘨ç•嗘¸衤¸厩参鈭箝€‚蝐喳吨璆Šçš‡笔¹訫停å銁隞硋€睲¸钅çš像åŽ蠘ㄐ。8So taking victuals and trumpets according to their number, he ordered all the rest of the multitude to depart to their tents: and he with the three hundred gave himself to the battle. Now the camp of Madian was beneath him in the valley.
9ç訜憭靝¸蜓撠滢»牧嚗€?丝靘¼?¸见绦æç‡¼ˆ穃歇撠訽ç‡煺漱å銁雿䭾‰衤叶鈭€‚9The same night the Lord said to him: Arise, and go down into the camp: because I have delivered them into thy hand.
10愦ž靝½¸€鈭筝拿æ€蓥¸见绦嚗?虾掸嗡½删š辶驱žæ芦颲£銝€韏瑚¸见?ç‡笔¹¼Œ10But if thou be afraid to go alone, let Phara thy servant go down with thee.
11è隞硋€牧隞€暻潘¼诳驱?½删š‰见停æœ 拨嚗?佅銝见绦æç‡煺º€€齿䲰æ糓隞硋’?»š辶驱žæ芦颲£靘蹂¸见绦嚗?¾?ç‡煺叶擏鞱»滨š‰滚。11And when thou shalt hear what they are saying, then shall thy hands be strengthened, and thou shalt go down more secure to the enemies' camp. And he went down with Phara his servant into part of the camp, where was the watch of men in arms.
12é時蝐喳吨璆Šã€é燵ç麐è‚见…‹å’?æ䲮çš­鼗°煾æ袇雿?銁挢喳Ž蠘ㄐ嚗?¤¦酑嚗»硋€š妤擏苷¸滚虾å‹脲彍嚗?¤¦丝é‚羓š²嗵²鉝€‚12But Madian and Amalec, and all the eastern people lay scattered in the valley, as a multitude of locusts: their camels also were innumerable as the sand that lieth on the sea shore.
13å抅驱瑞´…靘?æ™¼?迤æœ劐¸€å€衤荦蝯虫»š?捞雓丐隤迎¼€?ˆ睲½靝º¸€å€见丐嚗œ劐¸€å€见之暻仿熊擗沓å蝐喳吨璆Šç‡笔嚗?凒皛晓穃董挢¼?°董挢闹’䞶€¼蕃頧㗇œ苷¸€€13And when Gedeon was come, one told his neighbour a dream: and in this manner related what he had seen: I dreamt a dream, and it seemed to me as if a hearth cake of barley bread rolled and came down into the camp of Madian: and when it was come to a tent it struck it, and beat it down flat to the ground.
14隞š?捞å›䂿­磰牧嚗€?€嗘¸齿糓åçš¼?€蹱糓隞亥列鈭º蝝燵憯«çš…鍦­å抅驱瑞´…çšˆ€åŠ㵪¼予銝饺歇把蝐喳吨璆Šååç‡煺漱æ䲰隞‰衤叶ã€€14He to whom he spoke, answered: This is nothing else but the sword of Gedeon the son of Joas a man of Israel. For the Lord hath delivered Madian, and all their camp into his hand.
15å抅驱瑞´…銝€è阆钅€坔丐çš•䁅腻å’?圾é‡页¼?停æœ脲‹予銝鸣¼驱?›䞶?隞亥列ç‡煺叶隤迎¼€?丝靘¼›删銝蜓撌唇°‡蝐喳吨璆Šçš‡笔¹蓥漱å銁雿惩€烐‰衤叶鈭€€15And when Gedeon had heard the dream, and the interpretation thereof, he adored: and returned to the camp of Israel, and said: Arise, for the Lord hath delivered the camp of Madian into our hands.
16隞䲰æ糓æŠ¸厩参鈭筝ˆ½靝¸厂š¼?Š™蠘§鍦’?征蝵­漱å銁瘥譍荦æ‰衤叶嚗?Š羓æŠå銁蝵­鞱ㄐ嚗›16And he divided the three hundred men into three parts, and gave them trumpets in their hands, and empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.
17ç驱?å’»硋€牧嚗€?½惩€œˆ烐€举见銵?¼?½惩€睲噶æ€举见銵?¼¸€å?ç‡笔¹閖‚¸¼?ˆ烐€举见雿頣¼?½惩€睲¹蠘¦€举见雿栶€‚17And he said to them: What you shall see me do, do you the same: I will go into one part of the camp, and do you as I shall do.
18ç訜æˆˆ·罚辶æˆš荦åè™蠘§埝™¼?½惩€睲¹‡㕑府å銁ç‡笔¹訫›åè™蠘§¼?蒂銝–㙈嚗銝蜓嚗?å抅驱瑞´…嚗€18When the trumpet shall sound in my hand, do you also blow the trumpets on every side of the camp.
19å銁銝㗇凒銋见ˆ嘅¼?訜ååæ偦俈çš™€辷¼Œå抅驱瑞´…é 䁅‘»㚚銝€ç参鈭箔¾?ç‡笔¹閖‚¸¼?韏瑁™蠘§雴¾¼?‰梶聦æ‰衤叶çš½­僐€‚19And Gedeon, and the three hundred men that were with him, went into part of the camp, at the beginning of the midnight watch, and the watchmen being alarmed, they began to sound their trumpets, and to clap the pitchers one against another.
20å?™¸厂š¸€朣è™蠘§¼?‰梶聦蝵­琜¼?椰æ‰嚉è‘㛖æŠ¼?æ‰嚉è‘™蠘§鍦嚗?蒂å–㙈隤迎¼€?ˆ€åŠ滨銝蜓嚗?å抅驱瑞´…嚗€20And when they sounded their trumpets in three places round about the camp, and had broken their pitchers, they held their lamps in their left hands, and with their right hands the trumpets which they blew, and they cried out: The sword of the Lord and of Gedeon;
21ç䔿鈭粹å銁ç‡笔¹訫›嚗?«坔銁è撌梁šæ䲮ã€æ™訽ç‡罚©†¼?º–º«€‚21Standing every man in his place round about the enemies' camp. So all the camp was troubled, and crying out and howling they fled away.
22ç訜é銝厩参鈭筝è™蠘§垍š™€辷¼?¸蜓雿踵訽ç‡煺º垍㮾æ’闹捏ã€诳驱?œ肽‘—鞎砍‹㘾”é€¾€鞎萘鹱å蟮憭§嚗?凒å?é撠憛毁ç鹱的é燵鞎肽€哟»䀹拉。22And the three hundred men nevertheless persisted sounding the trumpets. And the Lord sent the sword into all the camp, and they killed one another,
23é時隞亥列鈭筝¾ž蝝齿–¡娪‡Œã€é燵å?和暺条´滚”ååé›?¼?萧頞•蝐喳吨璆Šã€‚23Fleeing as far as Bethsetta, and the border of Abelmahula in Tebbath. But the men of Israel shouting from Nephtali and Aser, and from all Manasses pursued after Madian.
24å抅驱瑞´…å?‰梶䔄雿辑€?ååŽ¼麾因撅勖隤迎¼€?«衤¸衤¾打蝐喳吨璆Š鈭绰¼?銁隞硋€穃‰滢½娍“š蝝½†瘝喟š腹å藁嚗?凒å?鞎萘鹱撌渲麾ã€€滚åŽ¼麾因鈭筝停é›?¼?½娍“纸º†蝝½†瘝喟š腹å藁嚗?¸€ç凒å?鞎萘鹱撌渲麾。24And Gedeon sent messengers into all mount Ephraim, saying: Come down to meet Madian, and take the waters before them to Bethbera and the Jordan. And all Ephraim shouted, and took the waters before them and the Jordan as far as Bethbera.
25隞硋€烐劐½譍º†蝐喳吨璆Šçšå€钅 䁅¢吔¼?朗æ•硋‹鍦¸ƒå’Œå‰Ž¸ƒ嚗?銁æ•硋‹鍦¸ƒç銝ŠŠæ•硋‹鍦¸ƒ畾箸香嚗?銁å‰Ž¸ƒéé…埝±㰘ㄐ把å‰Ž¸ƒ畾箸香嚗诳驱?匮蝥?萧頞•蝐喳吨璆Š鈭绰¼?蒂把æ•硋‹鍦¸ƒå’Œå‰Ž¸ƒçšé€?蝝½†撠滚硫å抅驱瑞´…頝笔‰溻€‚25And having taken two men of Madian, Oreb and Zeb: Oreb they slew in the rock of Oreb, and Zeb in the winepress of Zeb. And they pursued Madian, carrying the heads of Oreb and Zeb to Gedeon beyond the waters of the Jordan.
