| 1登圣殿歌。居住在诸天上的大主，我向你仰起我的眼目。 | 1If it had not been that the Lord was with us, let Israel now say: |
| 2看，仆人的眼目，怎样仰望主人的手，看，婢女的眼目，怎样注视主妇的手；我们的眼目也就怎样注视着上主，我们的天主，直到他怜悯我们才止。 | 2If it had not been that the Lord was with us, When men rose up against us, |
| 3上主，求你矜怜，矜怜我们！因为我们已尝尽了欺凌； | 3Perhaps they had swallowed us up alive. When their fury was enkindled against us, |
| 4我们的心灵已经饱受得太多了：即骄傲人的欺凌，富贵人的耻笑。 | 4Perhaps the waters had swallowed us up. |
| 5 | 5Our soul hath passed through a torrent: perhaps our soul had passed through a water insupportable. |
| 6 | 6Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us to be a prey to their teeth. |
| 7 | 7Our soul hath been delivered as a sparrow out of the snare of the fowlers. The snare is broken, and we are delivered. |
| 8 | 8Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. |
