| 1達味作。上主是我的光明，我的救援，我還畏懼何人？上主是我生命穩固的保障，我還害怕何人？ | 1The Lord is my light and my salvation
- whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the rampart of my life;
I will not be afraid. |
| 2當惡人前來攻擊我，要吃我的肉時，我的對手，我的仇敵，反而跌倒斷氣。 | 2When the wicked rush at me
to devour my flesh,
it is my foes who stumble,
my enemies fall. |
| 3雖有大軍向我進攻，我的心毫不戰慄；雖然戰爭向我迫近，我依然滿懷依恃。 | 3Though an army encamp against me,
my heart will not fail;
though war break out against me,
I will still be confident. |
| 4我有一事祈求上主，我要懇切請求此事：使我一生的歲月，常居住在上主的殿裡，欣賞上主的甘飴慈祥，瞻仰上主聖所的堂皇。 | 4One thing I ask of the Lord, one thing I seek -
that I may dwell in his house all the days of my life,
to gaze at his jewel and to visit his sanctuary. |
| 5因為在我困難的時日，他將我藏在他的帳棚裡；將我藏在他帳幕的深處，並將我高舉放於磐石。 | 5For he will keep me safe in his shelter
in times of misfortune;
he will hide me beneath his roof,
and set me high upon a rock. |
| 6現在我可昂首抬頭，卑視我周圍的大仇；要在他帳幕裡，獻歡樂之祭，要向上主謳唱讚美的詩詞。 | 6Then my head will be lifted up
over the enemies round about me.
I will offer sacrifices at his Tent with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music in praise of the Lord. |
| 7上主，求你俯聽我的呼號，上主，求你憐憫我，垂允我。 | 7Hear my voice when I call, O Lord,
have mercy on me and answer. |
| 8論及你，我心中時常在想：「你應該尋求他的儀容。」上主，我在尋求你的儀容。 | 8My heart says to you,
"I seek your face, O Lord." |
| 9求你不要向我掩住你的臉面，你發怒時不要將你僕人趕散。你向來就是我唯一的救援；救我的天主，不要棄我不管。 | 9Do not hide your face from me
nor turn away your servant in anger.
You are my protector, do not reject me
abandon me not, O God my savior! |
| 10我的父母雖捨棄了我，然而上主卻收留了我。 | 10Though my father and mother forsake me,
yet will the Lord receive me. |
| 11上主，求你給我指示你的正路，為了我的仇敵，引我踏上坦途。 | 11Teach me, O Lord your way;
lead me along a straight path. |
| 12求你不要將我交於仇人的私欲，因為殘暴的假見證來向我攻擊。 | 12Save me from the plot of my enemies,
for false witnesses have risen against me
to pin me down in their violence. |
| 13我深信在此活人地區，定會享見上主的幸福。 | 13I hope, I am sure,
that I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. |
| 14你要鼓起勇氣，期望上主！你要振作精神，期望上主！ | 14Trust in the Lord, be strong and courageous
