And when his father in law had heard this, and had seen him, he met him with joy, |

| 5蝚砍予隞硋睲¸æ韏瑚¾¼è鈭卑丝頨怨¦粥嚗?撠穃戊ç?阆芸停撠滚戊憍辑牧嚗?½惩穃 ?鍂鈭偦¤¼?»鲉»䞶¿¼?驱?滩粥ã | 5But on the fourth day arising early in the morning he desired to depart. But his father in law kept him, and said to him: Taste first a little bread, and strengthen thy stomach, and so thou shalt depart. |

| 7é鈭卑丝頨怨¦粥嚗?½»众ç?æ蕟ç嗘º»吔¼?»硋?銁é鋆⊿º¸憭栶 | 7But he rising up began to be for departing. And nevertheless his father in law earnestly pressed him, and made him stay with him. |

And his father in law said to him again: I beseech thee to take a little meat, and strengthening thyself, till the day be farther advanced, afterwards thou mayest depart. And they ate together. |

And his father in law spoke to him again: Consider that the day is declining, and draweth toward evening: tarry with me to day also, and spend the day in mirth, and to morrow thou shalt depart, that thou mayest go into thy house. |
| 10雿糓嚗?鈭箔¸漤¡睃漤¸憭頣¼?停掸嗉»污å?蓥荦嚗?诳å坔末çå撽Z丝頨怨粥鈭¼?¾?è呛郊æ鱻嚗?朗è嗉楝æ鍦ç°漤ã | 10His son in law would not consent to his words: but forthwith went forward and came over against Jebus, which by another name is called Jerusalem, leading with him two asses laden, and his concubine. |
| 11ç訜隞硋餈è呛郊æ鱻æ¼?撌痘正å¼?蓥荦撠勖°滢蜓鈭卑牧嚗?¾¼?®穃½匧绦嚗??é坔涟è呛郊æ鱻鈭筝馆ㄐå绦æ訫挪嚗 | 11And now they were come near Jebus, and the day was far spent: and the servant said to his master: Come, I beseech thee, let us turn into the city of the Jebusites, and lodge there. |
| 12銝台荦å䂿»牧嚗?穃睲¸滚虾é唇é坔涟銝滚敦隞亥å摮鼗°¤䲮鈭个¼?穃穃¾å抅鞎苷ºå绦蝵瘀¼ | 12His master answered him: I will not go into the town of another nation, who are not of the children of Israel, but I will pass over to Gabaa: |
| 13隞硋?°滚蓥荦隤迎¼?¾¼穃穃?銝å见æ䲮å绦æ訫挪嚗?硋銁å抅鞎苷º嚗?硋銁颲?麐ã | 13And when I shall come thither, we will lodge there, or at least in the city of Rama. |
| 14æ䲰æ糓隞硋穃?¸楝å滩¡?¼?訜靘¿æéçå抅鞎苷ºæ¼?云é蒾撌修¶刊氜鈭 | 14So they passed by Jebus, and went on their journey, and the sun went down upon them when they were by Gabaa, which is in the tribe of Benjamin: |
| 15隞硋煾脖ºå抅鞎苷º嚗?銁é鋆⊥訫挪嚗»硋煾唇¾?¼?停å銁å銵堒¸¸¼?删瘝埝劐荦æç嗘»硋穃銁摰嗡叶é挪ã | 15And they turned into it, to lodge there. And when they were come in, they sat in the street of the city, for no man would receive them to lodge. |
| 16æ劐¸å贝荦æ纸¸羓眏ç视é枏极雿硺¾¼?»硋糓å¼麾å 撅勖ç荦嚗?¯±銁å抅鞎苷º嚗å鈭筝㭱æ糓æé鈭箝 | 16And behold they saw an old man, returning out of the field and from his work in the evening, and he also was of mount Ephraim, and dwelt as a stranger in Gabaa; but the men of that country were the children of Jemini. |
| 17éè荦è厩嚗?贝¦见銁å叶銵堒¸¸匧钅馆楝ç荦嚗?停å呓牧嚗?½惩¾é鋆∪绦嚗笔¾鲉鋆∩¾¼麄 | 17And the old man lifting up his eyes, saw the man sitting with his bundles in the street of the city, and said to him: Whence comest thou? and whither goest thou? |
| 18è鈭筝䂿»牧嚗?穃烐糓驱ç薗憭抒蒾å靘¼?¾å¼麾å 撅勖ç¢绦ã烐æ糓éåæ䲮ç荦嚗?穃绦éç薗憭抒蒾å嚗?å銁阆䞶振å绦嚗?½²埝劐荦æç蹱穃?è撌勖振鋆∪绦ã | 18He answered him: We came out from Bethlehem Juda, and we are going to our home, which is on the side of mount Ephraim, from whence we went to Bethlehem: and now we go to the house of God, and none will receive us under his roof: |
| 19å撖行烐厩扣è厂今撽g¼?æ穃?½删岷憟喃诳å·罚辶雿惩蓥荦ç坔钅鍦侨鈭绰¼?æ厂£毺扣å? ¼?¸çæ蝻箝 | 19We have straw and hay for provender of the asses, and bread and wine for the use of myself and of thy handmaid, and of the servant that is with me: we want nothing but lodging. |
| 20éè荦撠滢»牧嚗?½䭾敹菱嚗½䭾é阆ç眏æ睲¾策嚗?蘨銝滚虾å銁銵¸¤栶 | 20And the old man answered him: Peace be with thee: I will furnish all things that are necessary: only I beseech thee, stay not in the street. |
| 21隞㚚 䀝»硋?è撌勖振鋆∴¼?今銝岷嚗?»硋烐´º嚗?诳驱?停å肽丝靘 | 21And he brought him into his house, and gave provender to his asses: and after they had washed their feet, he entertained them with a feast. |
| 22隞硋烐迤皛踵擃䁅?辷¼?页¼?å¸鈭鞈港¹见¾¼?滢½?撅䛵é嚗?°滢½振銝饵荦隤迎¼?滚?雿惩振çå衤荦é 睃靘¼?穃¦ª滩䀝»硔 | 22While they were making merry, and refreshing their bodies with meat and drink, after the labour of the journey, the men of that city, sons of Belial, (that is, without yoke,) came and beset the old man's house, and began to knock at the door, calling to the master of the house, and saying: Bring forth the man that came into thy house, that we may abuse him. |
| 23摰嗡蜓å靘¦衤»硋¼?°滢»硋牧嚗? ¼笔¼?¸滩¦¦迨嚗«衤½¸滩¦¡?蹱见ç鈭页¼嗘荦æé脖º振嚗?½惩烐捱銝滩銵?䠷靝º页¼ | 23And the old man went out to them, and said: Do not so, my brethren, do not so wickedly: because this man is come into my lodging, and cease I pray you from this folly. |
| 24é体ㄐæ㗇戊å 㘾糓è訫戊嚗?煾 睃旦å靘¼?½惩穃虾隞饼情颲勖旦嚗?遥æ睲½惩穃¾旦嚗½糓撠齿䲰é嗘荦嚗?½惩烐捱銝滚虾雿嗵车é靝º页¼ | 24I have a maiden daughter, and this man hath a concubine, I will bring them out to you, and you may humble them, and satisfy your lust: only, I beseech you, commit not this crime against nature on the man. |
| 25雿糓é鈭荦銝漤¡䁅隞吔¼耻鈭筝停æ㮖½呓撌梁污嚗?旦鈭斤策鈭»硋¼?»硋穃停隤滩䀝º旦嚗?㟲憭情颲勖旦嚗?凒å?ææ膥嚗?銁ç聦æ厩嗵º娍鈭旦ã | 25They would not be satisfied with his words; which the man seeing, brought out his concubine to them, and abandoned her to their wickedness: and when they had abused her all the night, they let her go in the morning. |
| 26憭拙翰鈭桃辷¼?憟喳䞶?ç坔旦銝台荦雿誩挪ç鈭筝±见㵪¼?·?鍦銁é鋆∴¼?凒å?憭拐渔ã | 26But the woman, at the dawning of the day, came to the door of the house where her lord lodged, and there fell down. |
| 27ææ膥嚗?訜憟宁蜓鈭卑丝靘钅嚗?å绦阆閗澈韏瑞¨¼?贝¦钅憟喃荦嚗?朗隞污嚗?¼誩銁éå藁嚗?旦ç黇å銁é鸼 | 27And in the morning the man arose, and opened the door that he might end the journey he had begun: and behold his concubine lay before the door with her hands spread on the threshold. |
| 28撠勖°滚旦隤迎¼?丝靘¼穃粥蝵瘀¼滨è?²埝劐荦å䂿»吔¼偦鈭箔噶æ旦擐勖銁撽V¸¼?丝頨怠硺ºåã | 28He thinking she was taking her rest, said to her: Arise, and let us be going. But as she made no answer, perceiving she was dead, he took her up, and laid her upon his ass, and returned to his house. |
| 29å?鈭振鋆∴¼?嚉韏瑕靘¼?雿呓撌梁污嚗?旦ç擃º?¡¼??隞亥åå憓¼ | 29And when he was come home he took a sword, and divided the dead body of his wife with her bones into twelve parts, and sent the pieces into all the borders of Israel. |
| 30åå»瘣燎ç荦隤迎¼?½惩¦°隞亥å鈭粹蹱见隤迎¼期驱隞亥å摮鼗°眏åå銝¾銝æ嚗?凒å?隞嚗?糓å炏ç䔄ç罚蹱见çº页¼笔之摰呛銝æ嚗?捱摰纸¹见¾?¼?«贝牧å靘滚ç贝¦讠隤迎¼?驱隞亥å摮鼗°眏åå銝¾銝æ嚗?凒å?隞嚗?¾墧ç䔄ç罚¼?¹阆钅蹱见çº卝 | 30And when every one had seen this, they all cried out: There was never such a thing done in Israel from the day that our fathers came up out of Egypt, until this day: give sentence, and decree in common what ought to be done. |
