And when he would have gone into her chamber as usual, her father would not suffer him, saying:

4æ䲰æ糓銝㗇å绦æ劐º¸厩参é塀ç‹鞟䧧嚗??嚉çæŠ¾¼?Š羓‹鞟䧧çš偏å’?偏蝯銁銝€韏瘀¼?°æŠ鍦銁鈭?偏銝剥–橒¼Œ4And he went and caught three hundred foxes, and coupled them tail to tail, and fastened torches between the tails.
5暺噼‘㛖æŠ¼?°‹鞟䧧æåå畺è‚贝ˆ滨鹱鈭个šŽ羓视å嚗?Š ›š渐æ¼?«贝‘㛖šŽ羓采嚗?鸡èœ鍦’?©¬硋œ㘾ç‡雴º€‚5And setting them on fire he let the foxes go, that they might run about hither and thither. And they presently went into the standing corn of the Philistines. Which being set on fire, both the corn that was already carried together, and that which was yet standing, was all burnt, insomuch, that the flame consumed also the vineyards and the oliveyards.

And it was answered: Samson the son in law of the Thamnathite, because he took away his wife, and gave her to another, hath done these things. And the Philistines went up and burnt both the woman and her father.
7銝㗇å睲»硋€牧嚗€?½惩€烐çé€蹱见雿頣¼?ˆ穃¿睲½惩€穃俦隞¼?驱?º菱隡㻫€€7But Samson said to them: Although you have done this, yet will I be revenged of you, and then I will be quiet.
8銝㗇é‰“»硋€¼?è鈭 㵪¼?之畾箔¸€é腼嚗驱?¸见绦雿誩銁åŽ繿çš¸€å€讠蝛游。8And he made a great slaughter of them, so that in astonishment they laid the calf of the leg upon the thigh. And going down he dwelt in a cavern of the rock Etam.
9å畺è‚贝ˆ滨鹱鈭箔¸绦嚗?銁ç薗憭§蝝桃‡¼?€痘必è‚见¸Œã€‚9Then the Philistines going up into the land of Juda, camped in the place which afterwards was called Lechi, that is, the Jawbone, where their army was spread.
10ç薗憭§鈭筝•呓牧嚗€?½惩€隞€暻洁¸¾æ‰ˆ穃€¼煺»硋€­磰牧嚗€?ˆ穃€睲¸¾糓çæ‹䀹•銝㗇嚗?¦驱拐»硋°齿ˆ穃€烐‰€銵?š€€10And the men of the tribe of Juda said to them: Why are you come up against us? They answered: We are come to bind Samson, and to pay him for what he hath done against us.
11æ䲰æ糓æœ劐¸匧ƒç薗憭§鈭筝?åŽ繿ç蝛涌鋆∴¼?°銝㗇隤迎¼€?é㮖½¸滨䰻道å畺è‚贝ˆ滨鹱鈭个绞瘝饼ˆ穃€穃—¼煺½删隞€暻洁½€?敞æˆ穃€šº页¼麄€滢»硋›䂿­磰牧嚗€?»硋€烐€举见驱ˆ¼?ˆ睲¹€举见驱»硋€㻫€€11Wherefore three thousand men of Juda, went down to the cave of the rock Etam, and said to Samson: Knowest thou not that the Philistines rule over us? Why wouldst thou do thus? And he said to them: As they did to me, so have I done to them.
12隞硋€穃停å睲»牧嚗€?ˆ穃€睲¸衤¾糓çæ‹䀹蓥½¼?Š½漱å銁å畺è‚贝ˆ滨鹱鈭箸‰衤叶ã€€銝㗇å睲»硋€牧嚗€?½惩€¦°齿ˆ䔄隤橒¼?¸齿捏摰单ˆ¼€12And they said to him, We are come to bind thee and to deliver thee into the hands of the Philistines. And Samson said to them: Swear to me, and promise me, that you will not kill me.
13隞硋€穃›䂿­磰牧嚗€?¸€摰纸¸㵪¼ˆ穃€穃蘨æŠ½删¶末嚗?漱å銁隞硋€烐‰衤叶嚗?捱銝齿捏雿€€滢»硋€烐䲰æ糓ç鍂å璇脲鳘蝜拇Š»丝嚗?¾䂿蝛渲ㄐæŠ»‹劐¸¾€‚13They said: We will not kill thee: but we will deliver thee up bound. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him from the rock Etam.
14隞碶¾?è‚见¸Œ嚗Œå畺è‚贝ˆ滨鹱鈭筝阔å–‘堒靘¿»吔¼偦æ™¸蜓çš¥䂿ªé™滚銁隞澈銝¼?»‰贝‡¸羓š鼎蝝g¼?末åƒ呓‘㛖çš敦暻台¸€璅?¼?¶»š鼎摮¾硺»š‰衤¸氜銝卝€‚14Now when he was come to the place of the Jawbone, and the Philistines shouting went to meet him, the spirit of the Lord came strongly upon him: and as the flax is wont to be consumed at the approach of fire, so the bands with which he was bound were broken and loosed.
15隞å?銝€憛悦撽Z撉剁¼?挠æ‰嚉韏瑚¾¼?“捏鈭¸€å荦。15And finding a jawbone, even the jawbone of an ass which lay there, catching it up, be slew therewith a thousand men.
16ç驱Œ銝㗇å–牧嚗€?鍂撽Z撉冽捏çš¸€å ¸€å ¼?鍂撽Z撉冽捏鈭¸€å€€16And he said: With the jawbone of an ass, with the jaw of the colt of asses I have destroyed them, and have slain a thousand men.
17ç訜隞牧摰?€体店嚗?停é ‰Š撉冽‹£º¼›䭾迨éåå滚㙈颲?麐è‚见¸Œã€‚17And when he had ended these words singing, he threw the jawbone out of his hand, and called the name of that place Ramathlechi, which is interpreted the lifting up of the jawbone.
18甇文¾?¼?»㚚䞶虏å藁皜湛¼?鐤蝐脖¸蜓隤迎¼€?½㰘—劐½惩ƒ蓥荦çš‰见¾º€蹱活憭批‹嘥嚗¦»ˆ穃㭱阆葩甇鸣¼?萅æ䲰é€嗘º²埝œ匧æ滨š荦æ‰衤叶ã€€18Arid being very thirsty, he cried to the Lord, and said: Thou hast given this very great deliverance and victory into the hand of thy servant: and behold I die for thirst, and shall fall into the hands of the uncircumcised.
19憭拐蜓é銁è‚见¸Œ雿蹂¸€蝒芸鋆–页¼?鸠å瘗港¾¼»硋–苷º偌嚗?移蟡墧驱抬¼?ç㺭å†滨”¼›䭾迨é瘜厩迂雿栶€?鐤蝐脱³剹€㵪¼?隞‚銁è‚见¸Œã€‚19Then the Lord opened a great tooth in the jaw of the ass, and waters issued out of it. And when he had drank them he refreshed his spirit, and recovered his strength. Therefore the name of that place was called, The Spring of him that invoked from the jawbone, until this present day.
20隞硋銁å畺è‚贝ˆ滨鹱鈭个绞瘝»隞亥列çš™å嚗?½œ隞亥列瘗煾鈭?侨。20And he judged Israel in the days of the Philistines twenty years.
