And passing towards the north, they said to Jephte: When thou wentest to fight against the children of Ammon, why wouldst thou not call us, that we might go with thee? Therefore we will burn thy house.
²靘嘥¼堒之å䂿»硋牧嚗?荦瘗穃é燵摮摮鼗°烐¿æ?ç辷¼?烐㦛å睲½惩烐±¼?½½惩烐²埝劐¾烐穃é隞硋卝	²And he answered them: I and my people were at great strife with the children of Ammon: and I called you to assist me, and you would not do it.
³æ¦衤½惩烐²雴荦靘螱å嚗?穃停æåçé燵摮摮鼗°¼?¸蜓é°»硋睲漱å銁æ烐衤叶嚗偦暻潘¼?½惩隞暻洁»予銝¾æ¼麄	³And when I saw this, I put my life in my own hands, and passed over against the children of Ammon, and the Lord delivered them into my hands. What have I deserved, that you should rise up to fight against me?
⁴æ䲰æ糓靘嘥¼堒之åéå抅è钅燵驱ææ厩荦åå¼麾å 雿?嚗å抅è钅燵驱鈭箸蔑鈭å¼麾å 鈭箝¼?删å¼麾å 鈭箸㦛隤芷¼纸½惩å抅è钅燵驱鈭箸糓驱å¼麾å 頝穃靘¼?袇撅銁å¼麾å 鈭箔叶嚗?銁暺条´滚鈭箔叶ã¼	⁴Then calling to him all the men of Galaad, he fought against Ephraim: and the men of Galaad defeated Ephraim, because he had said: Galaad is a fugitive of Ephraim, and dwelleth in the midst of Ephraim and Manasses.
⁵å抅è钅燵驱鈭个鈭齿å¼麾å 鈭绰¼??½娍纸º蝝½瘝单腹å藁嚗偦·å¼麾å 鈭卑牧嚗?捆æ煾绦蝵瘀¼å抅è钅燵驱鈭筝停å¼?½䭾糓å¼麾å 鈭筝¼麄滚¦牧嚗?¸齿糓ã	⁵And the Galaadites secured the fords of the Jordan, by which Ephraim was to return. And when any one of the number of Ephraim came thither in the flight, and said: I beseech you let me pass: the Galaadites said to him: Art thou not an Ephraimite? If he said: I am not:
⁶å抅è钅燵驱鈭筝停撠滢»牧嚗?½㰘牧ã蟮瘜Ｚ讠鹱ã¼滚¦靝»碶¸滩ç璅?牧å嚗??牧æ僐?鱻瘜Ｚ讠鹱ã㵪¼?停æ劐½譍»吔¼?銁蝝½皜∪藁畾箔º¼銁é嗵车æ耦銝页¼å¼麾å 鈭筝停甇台º鈭?	⁶They asked him: Say then, Scibboleth, which is interpreted, An ear of corn. But he answered, Sibboleth, not being able to express an ear of corn by the same letter. Then presently they took him and killed him in the very passage of the Jordan. And there fell at that time of Ephraim two and forty thousand.
⁷靘嘥¼堒之雿隞亥åç°煾å閮?挢湛¼诳驱å抅è钅燵驱鈭º靘嘥¼堒之甇台º¼?贝麞å銁å抅è钅燵驱æå汿	⁷And Jephte the Galaadite judged Israel six years: and he died, and was buried in his city of Galaad.
⁸å銁隞碶诳驱?¼?鞎萘鹱è鈭º靘肽²肽´雿隞亥å瘗煾ã	⁸After him Abesan of Bethlehem judged Israel:
⁹隞劐¸匧见鍦琜¼?¸匧见戊å¼戊å鍦煾憳?憭㚚㚁¼è撌梁¸匧见鍦琜¼?¾䞶¤㚚匧邑鈭¸匧?慦喳岫ã»碶½隞亥å瘗煾銝侨ã	⁹He had thirty sons, and as many daughters, whom he sent abroad, and gave to husbands, and took wives for his sons of the same number, bringing them into his house. And he judged Israel seven years:
¹⁰靘肽²肽´甇饺¾?¼?麞å銁鞎萘鹱èã	¹⁰And he died, and was buried in Bethlehem.
¹¹å銁隞碶诳驱?¼?å郊é鈭ºå雿隞亥å瘗煾嚗?»碶½隞亥å瘗煾å侨ã	¹¹To him succeeded Ahialon a Zahnlonite: and he judged Israel ten years:
¹²å郊é鈭ºå甇饺¾?¼?贝麞å銁å郊éçé燵éã	¹²And he died, and was buried in ZahnIon.
¹³å銁隞碶诳驱?¼?銝閗麾é鈭º掸?贝³ç鍦é燵鞎嘥雿隞亥å瘗煾ã	¹³After him Abdon, the son of Illel, a Pharathonite, judged Israel:
¹⁴隞匧见鍦琜¼?¸匧见重摮琜¼?¨馆¸撽ａ§鉝»碶½隞亥å瘗煾å挢氩	¹⁴And he had forty sons, and of them thirty grandsons, mounted upon seventy ass colts, and he judged Israel eight years:
¹⁵銝閗麾é鈭º掸?贝³ç鍦é燵鞎嘥甇饺¾?¼?贝麞å銁å¼麾å ç銝閗麾é嚗?朗å銁é燵ç麐è见撅勖åã	¹⁵And he died, and was buried in Pharathon in the land of Ephraim, in the mount of Amalech.
